Nepal have posted a modest target of 224 runs against Uganda in the title match of ICC World Cricket League Division III being played at the Kinrara Academy Oval in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Thursday.
Nepal chose to bat first after winning the toss against Uganda today.
The Nepali team lost all of its wickets in the 49.5 over scoring 223
runs with three players completing their half centuries. Sagar Pun
scored the highest, 64 of 99 balls, while Naresh Budayair added 51 of 73
balls. Vice captain Gyanendra Malla continued his good form and scored
56 runs from 65 balls.
After Malla’s departure, the bottom order batsmen could not hold on and
Nepal lost 5 of its remaining wickets in the last three overs.
For the Ugandan side, Roger Mukasa took six wickets in his 3.5 over spell giving just 27 runs.
Both Nepal and Uganda have already earned their position at the ICC World Cup Cricket League Division II.
