KATHMANDU, JUN 04 -
The Cabinet on Wednesday gave the approval for the upcoming visit of Prime Minister Sushil Koirala
to northern neighbour China. He was invited earlier to attend the
second China-South Asia Exposition to be held in Kunming. The meeting
also finalised Koirala’s team.
Koirala will leave on Thursday in a special flight arranged by Chinese
side, leading a 34-member official delegation to Kunming, the provincial
Capital of Yunan.
The government has also decided to send formal invitation to Myanmar's pro-democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi for Nepal visit.
Also, the Cabinet meet endorsed the Civil Service Act Amendment Bill,
said Government Spokesperson and Minsiter for Information and
Communications Minendra Rijal. The bill has a provision to promote
administrative secretary from administration sector itself.
The government has decided to bring the land owned by former King
Birendra Shah in Nuwakot and Dhading districts under Nepal trust. The
government has also approved the resignation by Nepal Television
Chairman Sitaram Agrawal.
