BIRATNAGAR, MAY 06 -
The UCPN (Maoist) national convention concluded here in Biratnagar on Tuesday with the formation of a 99-member Central Committee .
The CC, however, has not incorporated members from faction under leader
Baburam Bhattarai as they announced to stay out of the CC.
The Bhattarai led faction understandably made such decision to express
dissatisfaction over unjust slection of CC members. The disgruntled
leaders have claimed the selection of the CC members was unfair.
Leader Baburam Bhattarai, Top Bahadur Rayamajhi, Devendra Poudel, Khim
Lal Devkota, Ganga Shrestha, Hisila Yami and Bamdev Chhetri have
announced that they would not be part of the CC.

Chairman Pushpa Lamal Dahal along with leaders Baburam Bhattarai and
Narayan Kaji Shrestha answered the queries raised during closed session
discussion on the political document tabled by the chairman.
Party spokesperson Dinanath Sharma said that leaders Bhattarai and
Rayamajhi would contribute to the party from outside the CC until the
special convention. The party stated the first meeting of the new CC
would select other office bearers.
