No change in India's foreign policy with new government

BELAURI , MAY 18 - Vice President of the Nepali Congress (NC) Ram Chandra Poudel has said that he was confident India's Nepal policy would not be changed after the formation of a new government under Modi's leadership.
Talking to media persons at Mahendranagar, Kancha
npur, organised by the Press Union, Kanchapur on Sunday, Poudel said that India's government would not change its Nepal policy because India has been successfully practicing democratic exercises for a long time.
Indian National Congress's ouster from power in India will not cause serious effect on India's foreign policy, Poudel added.
Poudel further said that a new constitution will be promulgated in the stipulated time, as all preparation is going on for the purpose.
 Speaking on a different context, he said that he was positive towards the Supreme Court's decisions regarding the nomination of remaining 26 lawmakers in CA by the government. He further said that whether the Judicial Council recommended the controversial names that should be discussed with evidences.
He said the Mechi-Mahakali Campaign of the party was launched with the objective of realising BP Koirala's principles and need of drafting a new constitution.
My disapproval movement against Party chairman Sushil Koirala and senior leader Sher Bahadur Deuba was only to unite the party ahead as most of the party cadres have vehemently opposed the practice of the so-called 60 and 40 per cent sharing of party posts between party chairman Koirala and senior leader Deuba within the party, Poudel said. This campaign will help end such malpractices in the party, he added.
Meanwhile, he inspected the Mahakali flood affected areas in Bhujela in the district. RSS
