GULMI, APR 20 -
Four persons were killed, one on the spot and three on their way to the hospital, and 10 others injured when a passenger jeep veered off the road at Myalpokhara in Gulmi district on Sunday.
The jeep
(Lu 1 Ja 2529), en route to district headquarters Tamghas from
Chartala in the district, fell some 60 meters down the road when its
brake failed in an uphill road.
Three of the deceased have been identified as Bibas Saru, 9, Bhawindra
Kunwar, 24, and Jamuna Khatri, 50, all from Myalpokhara. The
identification of another deceased has not been established.
The injured passengers are receiving treatment at district hospital in
Tamghas. Six of them are said to be in critical condition.
