PHSC approves Sharma for CJ post

KATHMANDU, APR 11 -

The Parliamentary Hearing Special Committee ( PHSC ) on Friday approved acting Chief Justice Damodar Prasad Sharma for the post of chief justice. The committee had conducted hearing on his name Thursday evening.

The parliamentary approval of Sharma will communicated to the Constitutional Council (CC) to be forwarded to the president.

Sharma will be appointed as the new chief justice after the president endorses the CC decision. Last week the CC had recommended Sharma for the CJ post .
