KATHMANDU, MAY 13 -
UCPN (Maoist)
senior leader Baburam Bhattarai has revealed his plan to form a new
political force by forging alliance with Mohan Baidhya-led CPN-Maoist.
Speaking to media persons at the Tribhuvan International Airport
upon his arrival from a week-long China visit on Tuesday, Bhattarai
said that Dhobighat alliance was the best way for making reformations in
the party.
Leader Bhattarai made such remark at a time when party Chairman Pushpa
Kamal Dahal has labeled Dhobigaht alliance as a stain in the party
history.
"Dhobighat coalition was aimed at organisational reformation. I am
trying to form a new political force by bringing Baidya onboard," said
Bhattarai.
In 2012, Bhattarai and party’s then hardliner faction had made an
alliance against Dahal organising a meeting at Dhobighat, Lalitpur
following which the party was elevated to the post of prime minister.
The former prime minister made it clear that his party will not join the Central Committee of the party.
